Play: Shakespeare’s Macbeth

For this project from the 2nd year of my degree, we had to design a costume for a character from Macbeth by William Shakespeare. I set my version of the play in a dark and misty, wild and desolate version of the Scottish highlands. Using 16th Century fashions as a starting point, I then began to incorporate more modern influences, ending up with a dystopian look. I dressed my characters in rugged furs, wool tartans, and textured knitwear. 2015.
